Bag Limit

Georgia's bear bag limit is two bears per season, provided no more than one of these may be taken from the Southern or Central Zones. Harvested bears must be reported and tagged.

Bear Hunting Statewide Restrictions

It is illegal to kill a female bear with cubs or bears under 75 pounds. No hunting bears over bait. Bear hunting with dogs is only allowed in the Southern Bear Zone, except in Lanier and Lowndes Countis, where only still hunting is allowed.
